-- MARYHILL WINERY SPOTLIGHT, By John Schultz

-- PROSSER'S CHINOOK WINERY TRUE TO DESCRIPTIONS, By Bob Woehler
I've always been a fan of Chinook wines because they are so straightforward, clean and food-friendly. The current array of wines is no exception, including the delightful cabernet franc rose, a perfect wine for picnics or a summertime backyard repast.

-- ASK THE SQUIRE QUESTION OF THE MONTH
Q: I'm curious about a wine that was left in my kitchen after a recent party. I have no idea who brought it but I'd like to know about it before I pop the cork. It's from 1977, J. Pedroncelli (Sonoma) a Cabernet Sauvignon. I've heard both good and bad about Port's from that year but not a thing in Sonoma and nothing about the winery at all. I do know of an auctioned barrel of Zin but it was just a blend with J. Pedroncelli in it. -K. Lies
