Job Description: Off Sale Sales Specialist
Washington Wine and Beverage Company is looking for an
experienced, credible, high powered, ambitious and knowledgeable
retail wine salesperson to increase our market presence in the
area. The principal role of this retail Sales Specialist
representative is to work very closely with key buyers such as
QFC, Fred Meyer, Safeway, Albertsons and many other independent
retailers that have a direct influence on buying beverage
products while working closely with our distributor network in
the same area. 95% of this person’s responsibility will be out
in the field. This person must be a driven individual that knows
how to develop and manage relationships with all of these
individuals, achieve new distribution in a variety of ways and
can sell and merchandise display opportunities as it relates to
Washington Wine and Beverage Company Ultra and premium products.
This individual must also do some ride widths, pricing audits,
resets and an assortment of other duties as it also relates to
market conditions and trends. This is a full time position which
also requires periodic week end functions as to attendance of
trade and selected consumer events during seasonal activity and
promotions.
RESPONSIBILITY:
- Positively initiates new sales distribution and display
goals monthly
- Develops key relationships with retail buyers and the
distributor sales staff and can close the sale, sell new
placements and sell enormous displays while merchandising
and building displays in key locations
- Achieves specific and reasonable company objectives
monthly
- Tracks achievements with documentation in every account
- Is open to high levels of direct sales and time
management daily
- Can also train distributor network representatives on
how to sell the portfolio effectively and leads by example
- Attends early morning resets to insure that existing and
new authorization items are in distribution
- Has the ability to position thyself and present the
promotions to the distributor sales personal with excitement
and professionalism
- Is highly motivated to grow within the structure of the
company and fiercely hates losing the battles in the field
with competitors
- Has the potential to be a trend setter and demonstrates
a positive professional demeanor
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
This candidate must have an effective and proven
distributor/supplier experience of at least 3 years in the wine
industry is a requirement. This individual must also have a
strong and determined passion for succeeding with specific goals
and objectives and is open to being monitored very closely. The
candidate must also be computer proficient with Word, Excel and
Power Point and have its own lab top. It must also posses its
own cell phone and has the ability to perform and communicate
skillfully and promptly. This individual must be accomplishment
driven in order to meet the expectation goals and objectives of
the company.
Salary Requirements: Base salary with performance
compensation on new placements, displays and the ability to
skillfully sell the wines of Washington Wine and Beverage
Company. Cell phone and business mileage reimbursement with
medical and dental coverage available pending company’s
probation period.
