Wine Steward or Retail Wine Buyer
Excellent wine knowledge is necessary to
compete for this position. A few years of wine department
assistant experience, or other wine industry experience is
adequate to apply for buyer or wine steward position, as there are
generally a position or two open at any given time. A passion for
wine and customer service are integral to success in this
position. Also necessary is the ability to make sound buying
decisions that are consistent with your employer's objectives.
25,000-$40,000 + benefits.
40 hours per week, plus wine tastings and wine dinners,
(lots of fun, but usually not on the clock).
