Portteus Tasting
at Esquin
Saturday, 24 May 2003
1pm to 4pmJoin Erna Portteus-Patrawke of Portteus Winery
for an afternoon of tasting their current offerings at Esquin Wine Shop,
Saturday, May 24th 1-4PM.
Portteus Vineyards
was one of the first vineyards in the state of Washington, planting some
of their first grapes a little over 22 years ago. At the time there were
only 13 bonded wineries in Washington State. The winery makes top
quality Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, an Estate Reserve Bordeaux
blend, and a quaffing red called Rattlesnake Ridge Red.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine named Paul Portteus as one of America’s
Great Cabernet Producers, but this isn't the limit of his talents. This
innovative winemaker was one of the earliest growers of Zinfandel,
Cabernet Franc and Syrah which are now coming of age and making
beautiful wines.
Portteus sells about 50% of their harvest to other wineries, keeping
the choice grapes to produce their powerful Estate Bottled wines. Come
taste the bounty from this fine Washington State Winery!
